May of the new cameras have automatic exposure operation. As the light condition changes the camera adjust to the lighting conditions. This often caused a major change in the video which in turn causes the motion detection to trigger. If the motion detection setting had a percentage range setting instead of just a single percentage limit. Then changes in the video do to camera exposure changes or major lighting changes could be eliminate false motion detection recording or alarms
Thank you Daryl Grant
