I am just in the early stages of trying out Camuniversal shareware before I purchase. One problem I have is that if I specify a different filename and directory for either video recording or picture capture using motion detection, the system insists on recording it as 'test.avi' or 'test.jpg' in the C:\ root directory. This means that I cannot evaluate multiple recordings or picture capures. I know the shareware version is time limited but is this rename facility also limited? How can I evaluate the software properly if all the features are not enabled? Or am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated.

the trial version is only time restricted and in camera number.

You can choose all filenames you like.
If you open the "Adjust camera" dialog you can choose in the "General Settings" if you will be allowed to adjust different filenames for the normal mode (picture capturing by button press) the scheduler mode and motion detection mode, or if the filenames in these modes are always the same. This is useful if you don't want to have different filenames in the modes and don't want to adjust them 3 times. But this is all.

There is no restriction for the filenames.

For easy testing open the "general settings", press the "picture capture" button, edit a filename, close the dialogs, and press the capture button from the video preview window.
Does this works?
