I've just purchased your software to record streams from our Axis IP cams setup as a shop surveillance system in our Covent Garden store.

How can I set the scheduler up to record 24 hour sections on Monday, Tueday, Wed etc to Sunday leaving me with seven m24 files, one for each day. Ideally I would then like the next Mondays to overwrite the previous one so I never have more than seven files.

Many Thanks in advance.

use the scheduler for this purpose.

a. Create a job which starts every day at a certain time, perhaps 0:00 (am).
Select permanent recording for this job.
Select the permanent recording lenght of sec 86400 ( = 24h ).
Select for the filename to add a number where the maximum number is 6.
So you get filenames for the recordings of "test_0 to test_6" (or what you want for "test").
0 = Monday (if you start the scheduler at monday), etc.; the filenames restarts with 0 after 6 is reached.
Then select for the permanent recording the needed settings like picture quality and filesize.
Adjust the settings so that 24h (and a little more) of recording could fit into the file.
You can check this if you press the calculate button!

b. The other possibility is to create 7 different jobs. The difference to a. is, that
each job starts at a different day. Select for each job the day and the certain time.
In this case you can choose for each job a special filename like monday.m24, etc.
Select permanent recording, the recording lenght and the recording settings like in a.!

You can start the scheduler manual or select, that the scheduler is started at program start.
