Hello,

I am testing CamUniversal in connection with a 9100A video server without any problem, so far, for streaming Jpeg and Mjpeg.

I do have two questions about motion detection action though:

1. when you schedule an action to take place (if motion detected) from PM to AM (over night) it looks like it has to be split in X:00 PM to 11:59PM and start again from 0:00 AM to Y:00 AM. Is this the only way ?

2. For a single camera on motion detection how can you do a dual action i.e. always trigger sound if motion detected and launch an application only from PM to AM (over night) every day ? If I set two jobs both of them will collect the last settings for the actions. Can they be decoupled so each job will have independent action(s) ?

Regarding No.2 it looks like all jobs are reading fro a single action list. How difficult would be each job to have its own action list ? Thank you.

As I said, this seems to be an excellent piece of software ! Kudos to creator !

Hello,

1. Yes, this is the way for the moment. Perhaps in a further update I will improve this. Please use 2 jobs, it's really fast done.

2. Yes, all actions are the same for all jobs. I have discussed this behaviour with other users and no one needed different actions at different times.
If a motion occurs, in general, you need always the same reaction from the detector.

With a trick you can make, that an application is only executed at certain time ranges.
Add as action, that application x is executed.
Then use the scheduler to move this application into the directory from which it should be started at time x and move it out of this directory at time y.
The detector can only execute the application if it is available, between time x and time y.
Or you can use the scheduler to start a batch file, which copies or renames the application for you.
