Hi

I have a registered version of Cam Universal on win7 Ult, it has 4 camera inputs 1 on the pc itself and 2 from other pc and an IP camera. It works fine most of the time, but if I run software that changes the screen resolution or quality when closing the said application Cam Uni has dissapeared and has to be restarted. Everything else on the machine is normal when explorer returns. I have tried changing codecs on individual cameras but its a lengthy job and crashes most of the time or has no effect

Any Ideas anyone.

Thanks

Hello,

what software do you use to change the screen resolution (is the previous resolution restored later)?

What do you mean with CamUniversal has disappeared? Is it still running, but the main dialog is out of the window, even
the previous resolution is restored?

Hi,

I Have windows 7 Ultimate - Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTs Normal Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080. Quad Core

When other software is started it may change the screen resolution to something else and all the other gadgets and programs remain running in the background and return when the new program is stopped they return to their original size and position. However Cam Universal has stopped running altogether and does not show in task manager and has to be manually restarted. No error messages or anything.

Another anoying thing is on the restart, every time I need to restart manually the video Client, Switch off the on again for each missing camera.

I have 4 cameras displayed in single window 1 camera on the main pc 2 incomings from 2 other pc's and an IP camera. .

Another ineresting question is the order the 4 cameras are displayed on the screen you would think that you get the 4 cameras in the correct order on one pc the order would be the same for the others but it just a seems random order and has to be done by trial and error.

In general it is exactly what I want I need to show the cameras in the bottom of my pc screen without borders all the same size. but lots of little niggles with it

Thanks

Paul

Hello,

when CamUniversal stops, it saves the position of the main dialog and the camera windows.
If the resolution has changed and CamUniversal stops during this change, the current position of the windows is saved.
If the resolution is later changed back and CamUniversal is started, the windows are positioned at the positions
which where saved during the resolution change.
But why does CamUniversal stop?

If you change the resolution back and forth during CamUniversal is running all windows should be placed correct and at stopping the correct positions are saved.
