Very new to CamUniversal!

I need some advice on settings. I set up UC last night and checked the folders this a.m. The *.avi file was over 7 hours long!

I have obviously set some setting incorrectly. I need to be able to motion detect a person in both a static environment and a dynamic environment (moving bushes).

Thanx

Have been trying to read and understand the online manual.

I have been tweaking % difference and the R, B, G thing without much luck. I got one cam to detect my little dog walking through the room, but it didn't detect me when I walked through the room. :?

I got another cam to detect me walking through the room which I did for a minute or so. I was on the .avi file, but there was only one .jpg and that was of my back. If I were to have an intruder, I'd need a picture of his face for the police to act. (I'm setting up these cameras because my wife has been stalked, we have had prowlers and illegal entries and thefts. Although we know who's doing it, we have no tangible evidence.)

I have a camera set up in my garage that continues to get a lot of false detections but doesn't detect me when I walk in there.

I'm sure it's because I'm not reading something right in the manual.
