I wish to get high resolution still images of the countryside outside my house to upload to my website. Normal webcams are no good because the lenses fitted are optimised for close focus. I have seen threads on the web suggesting that certain Fuji cameras can be used as webcams for Windows messenger and Skype, etc.

Does anybody here know if CamUniversal will recognize them as a webcam and allow pictures to be taken?

I have no experiences with this issue, but if there is a possibility to use the photo camera as webcam in
applications like Skype, it should run in CamUniversal also.

The only thing needed is a DirectShow compatible driver or software running, which offers the camera as video device.

Ask the guys which use it for Skype, which additional drivers/software they use.
