Hi, these are the cheap cameras from China you find all over eBay, but the software they come with is rubbish.

Through a bit of detective work, I've found that they have a telnet server on port 8000 that allows you to change settings and a stream that chrome automatically downloads on port 9001.

I know its an MPEG4 stream, but CamPermanent doesn't want to play it (complains it can't create the DirectShow filtergraph).

I have an example of the streamed file and am prepared to setup a virtual machine on my network to allow the developer access to the camera if that would help.

There is currently no other software that works with these cameras and there is a fair demand for software that does.

is it possible to access the MPEG-4 stream from remote over the Internet, so I could try it on my system!

Does this camera comes with a DirectShow compatible driver which supports MPEG-4 streaming?
