I reckon this programme will do exactly what I need, if I can just get it to reliably save 10 second AVI recordings of detected motion (It sends out e-mails OK). I keep getting this slightly silly message about other things having corrupted memory, causing an illegal memory R/W by CamUniversal.
I really need to get this to work. Is there a known work-around for avoiding this, and allowing M-JPEG streaming to run to file? Are there some combinations of "settings" which are safer than others, perhaps?
I am streaming in from an ethernet source, 640x480x24 at around 400 MB/S (according to my network monitor); the IP camera says it exports M-JPEG at 15 frames per second. I am aiming to save to a SATA-RAID-0 (which will take 1080p easily in H.264) which should be fast enough, I think.
Any comments or helpful tips most welcome.
